There was a time when Robotropolis was beautiful. It was then a peaceful city known as Mobotropolis. But just after the queen’s triplet’s were born the evil Doctor Robotnic used his technology to turn Mobotripolis into a place of Terrior… Robotropolis.
As the source of Robotnic’s money the aristocrats were left to play while most of the rest of the population was roboticised, becoming Robotnic’s slaves.
The royal family was outlawed. A price placed on their heads. Then, the oracle of Delphius revealed a phophecy to the queen, Aleena.
One day you will reunite with your children to become the council of five and overthrow Robotnic. But there is a price your Highness.
For the prophecy to be fulfilled the queen had to give up her babies.
She brought her only daughter, Sonia, to the doorstep of an aristocrat’s house and left her there where she was taken in and raised.
She brought her son, Sonic, to the doorstep of a middleclass house and left him there where he was taken in and raised.
She brought her other son, Manic, to the doorstep of another middleclass house but he was found, instead, by a thief who took him to his leader. The leader decided to raise the boy.
Sonia became adept at playing the piano. She also became skilled in acrobatics and gained a love of fashion and shopping. She hates dirt and grime and such.
Sonic became a wonderful guitar player. He also gained the skill to run faster then any living creature ever could… as well as gaining an appetite for chilidogs and a dislike of water. He's completely impatient often saying to his siblings, "i'm waiting!"
Manic learned to drum with the best of them. He was also taught to steal and became amazingly good at that as well as riding an airboard. He's always been searching for a 'real' home and is often lonely, though not as much now that he had his family. He's also got a problem with stealing things still, though usually only from Robotnic.
Meanwhile, queen Aleena was still on the run, keeping herself out of Robotnic’s clutches and secretly watching out for her children. However, her mind often wandered to the prophecy. The seer had said she and her children would become the council of five… but she only had three children… at least… only three that were still alive.
Aleena had had another daughter, you see. Her name was Maria and she was two years older then the triplets. Maria and her father, Aleena’s husband, had died in an accident during a picnic on a cliff only months before the triplets were born. Baby Maria had wandered too close to the edge and when the king attempted to get to her the edge of the cliff broke off and the two fell to their deaths. Or at least… the queen thought they were both dead.
Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, Maria did survive though the king did not. Maria was found by one of Robotnic’s drones and brought to him where she was raised oblivious to her true lineage, though she could never find a like for her adoptive father for some strange reason.

Sonic is a youth with blue hair and a medallion with a guitar on it. The medallion can turn itself into a guitar later on when the triplets are united. With it he can, not only play music, but send blasts of blue energy from it to attack the enemy. Sonic also gains the ability to use his speed to turn into a tornado or a spinning saw like object.
Sonia is a youth with pink hair and a medallion with a keyboard on it. The medallion can turn itself into a keyboard later on when the triplets are united. With it she can, not only play music, but send blasts of pink energy from it to attack the enemy. Sonia had the ability to spin and turn herself into a tornado to attack the enemy.
Manic is a youth with green hair and a medallion with a drum on it. The medallion can turn itself into a drum set later on when the triplets are united. With it he can, not only play music, but control the earth causing earthquakes and sending rocks flying into the air. He also has the ability to send his drumsticks flying through the air like a boomerang.
Maria is a youth with yellow hair and a medallion with a saxophone on it. The medallion can turn itself into a sax later on when she is united with her siblings. With it she can, not only play music, but control animals causing stampedes and such. She also has the ability to send out a high-pitched frequency through her sax that can damage robotics.
Aleena is a woman with purple hair and a medallion with a harp on it. The medallion can turn itself into a harp and with it she can, not only play music, but lull individuals into a calm state for a short amount of time. She also has the ability to teleport herself short distances which often helps her to escape the enemy.
