Most people know of the tale of the Kyubi. How the ninetailed fox demon attacked the village of Konoha, killing many and injuring many more, reaking havoc upon the entire village... but few know Kyubi's side of the tale... Few know his reasoning for the attack.
Kyubi had been out hunting at the time, his homeland in a drought and food scarce because of it. He'd brought along his young fourteen year old neice who looked rather young of course as fox demon years are different then human years. Humans age twice as fast as fox demons...
He'd left her for just a while to check something out close to the village. While he was gone the young Kyubi was found by Konoha ninja. Being afraid of demons, as usual, they attacked the helpless kit, beating her within an inch of her life.
When her uncle returned he was furious. He followed the sent of what he believed to be his neices killers and came right to the village. He was in a blind rage by that time as he attacked, not caring how many innocent humans were in there.
And of course, you know the end of the story. The fourth hokage managed to seal the Kyubbi inside the body of a young boy... Naruko Uzumaki. But of course... the story doesn't end there...
Jyougatsu, brother to the young Kyubbi child, had been following their sent in order to come and help with the hunt. He found her and realized that she wasn't yet dead and nursed her to health. He, of course, had no idea where his uncle had gone... Though they found out later on.
The young Kyubbi... Shiasu Muyo... was never the same after that. She became distant. A hatred for human festering in her. Fox demons are usually very gentle creatures you see... They see humans as a developing race that needs guidance. Any sane Kyubbi would never think of harming a human but it was clear to Jyugatsu and her parents that Shiasu wasn't exactly 'sane'.
So her family sent her out to make peace with the humans before her hatred became strong enough that she became a real danger. Human were already afraid of them... they didn't need to give the humans a reason to be...
So Shiasu headed off, along the way she met up with a small arctic fox who's mother had been killed by poachers. She took the small creature with her, nursing it to health and earning herself a friend for life...
After that her first stop was the hidden waterfall village. She took on human form. At this time her real age was about twenty six though she looked like a thirteen year old girl in her human form due to the diffence in aging...
She made many friends there during her time, though she kept her identity a secret. Unfortunetely for her... the truth soon came out. The village which had previously loved her turned on her, attempting to kill her. She escaped with her life but her heart became even colder with the experience.
She and her fox friend, Yuki as she'd named her, began to travel again, though this time they weren't alone. They were followed from the waterfall village by a rather strong ninja and several lower ones. They weren't going to let her survive...
It wasn't long after that that Yuki and Shiasu came across the village hidden in the leaves. The wall around the village large and intimidating... to most. Shiasu, however, just found it to be a large eyesore. She didn't want to be here... but she couldn't go home.
