Azrael was sitting at his computer inside his room in a moment of great rage. It was FRUSTRATING trying to find information. For the past 8 hours, with only a few breaks to eat and work out, he had been hammering at the keyboard with his fingers, and working his mouse. He had contacts, not the best, but better than most. All turned up nothing. Information showed up to a dead end. Every time they thought they had something that MIGHT point them in the right direction, it turned up to be false or impossible.
Finally, he'd had it. Sitting in his black leather chair, donned in a simple white shirt and blue jeans, he put his elbows on the table and buried his face in his hands.
Charity walked in the door, a tray with a milkshake and PB&J sandwhich (Azrael's favorite snack) and stopped. She was wearing a simple green maid's outfit, hoping to catch Azrael's attention a little bit, but now she stopped as she saw how plainly frustrated he was. "Sean, are you okay?"
"8 HOURS AGO, I tried to hack into the Defense Systems Network of the Sanq Kingdom, and for that a defensive virus hacked into my files," Azrael growled lowly. "It took me TWO HOURS and help from online friends to fix that. 5 HOURS ago, me and my contacts searched for information on the news. It took us THREE HOURS just to find out the information was destroyed for unknown reasons!" His voice was slowly building up, as he lifted his eyes, face flushed red and a vein on his forehead pulsing. "We spent another hour after that trying to find the names of the reports, finally found some names, found addresses to EMPTY WAREHOUSES AND THEN FOUND OUT THE NAMES WERE FALSE!" Azrael stood straight up, his fists on the desk as his voice rose to a roar. "And NOW, after TWO HOURS of trying to hack into the Preventer's Network, all I get is ACCESS DENIED!!" He grabbed his computer and hefted it up over his head. "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!"
"SEAN!!" Charity quickly put the tray on a clothes drawer, and leaped in front of him. "No! Do you remember how long and how much it cost to fix your LAST computer?! Don't! Please!" She looked right up into him with those beautiful, ocean-blue eyes of hers. Azrael's face softened, his vein went away and the redness faded. Letting out a loud breath, he slowly sat the computer down.
"You're right, Charity. I'm sorry." He let out another deep breath, and sat down, burying his face in his hands again. "I guess I still need to work on my temper a bit..."
Charity walked over and tentavily put her hands on his shoulders. Azrael sat up and stiffened at the touch. "Shhh, it's all right," she said softly. "This'll help you relax." She gently began rubbing at his shoulders. Azrael slowly began to relax, a bit hesitantly, then finally laid back in his chair.
"Um...Lord Azrael?" A voice on the computer monitor said.
"Yes?"
"Uh... I have something that might interest you."
Azrael tilted his head, popping his neck and sighed a little with relief, then gently patted Charity's hands to let her know the massage was over. "Another lead? Is this one confirmed?"
"Well, I just saw it with my own two eyes."
Azrael leaned forward quickly, staring intently at the computer screen. "You've got my complete and undivided attention, pal. Go on."
"Apparently, Heero Yuy was spotted at Preventers HQ, rather distressed. Along with Quatre Winner. I think a few others of the Gundam Pilots were there too, but I can't be sure."
Azrael felt a cold rage build up in his heart. Heero Yuy was someone Azrael did not exactly approve of. He had his opinions of Heero Yuy, and furthermore was considered by many to be the enemy of his rolemodel, Milliardo Peacecraft. "Heero Yuy, hm? Wish I could have had a shot at HIM, when the White Fang came about." He frowned a bit, then smirked a little. In his little space Leo back then, Heero would have most likely killed him rather easily. With his new Scorpio model...? Still, Azrael was a warrior, and adhered to a strict code of honor. There was no sense in battling Heero Yuy when they probably had the same enemy. Besides, even if Azrael DID succeed, it'd just make matters worse.
Didn't make Azrael want it any less, though.
"That's to be expected, though," Azrael said, narrowing his eyes.
"Yeah, but we might be able to get some information. I THINK I overheard something about Quatre knowing who one of the assassin's is. They might have some information in Preventers HQ."
Azrael nodded. "Well, at least we know where to look, now." It was something. Finally, after all this mess, a sign of where to look at. Better than nothing at all.
"We can't hack into Preventers HQ, Lord Azrael. We just tried."
Azrael rubbed his chin a bit. "Not from here...no. But maybe..." He raised an eyebrow, then leaned back. "I'll be out of town for a few days. Get whatever information you can. No matter how irrelevant it may seem, as long as it has to do with Preventers HQ."
"Roger, Lord Azrael."
"And for the NINTH. FREAKIN. TIME." Azrael glared at the computer screen. "Stop calling me 'lord'." He clicked the computer screen off, then looked over at Charity, who was staring at him curiously. "Charity, would you pull out my ambassador's uniform, and book a flight to London, please?"
Charity blinked at him. "Yes sir." She walked out of the room, then turned around. "Are you going to ally yourself with the Preventers now? Parliament might need to be made aware of that."
Azrael turned and looked at her. "No, I'm not going to ally myself with them. Why would I? I don't know jack about them. Besides, once you sign an alliance, they expect you to help them with EVERYTHING, and ANYTHING. I'll pass on that." He stood up and walked towards the bathroom. "I'm just going to go on a simple information mission to know what their plans are. Please notify them before you book the flight, and let them know my intentions are peaceful and I simply want to have a talk and see where they stand on this." He turned on the shower, and smiled a bit. "And maybe hack into their mainframe when they're not looking."
"But...won't some of them recognize you? Your history with OZ and Treize...?"
Azrael shook his head. "I had short brown hair back then, and was years younger. Furthermore, I signed all my paperwork as Azrael Knightquest. They don't know nothing about Lord Sean Anderw Watts of the Watts Kingdom in Ireland. Besides, Heero and I have never met, nor any of the other Gundam pilots."
"What if Milliardo or Relena show up there?" Charity asked.
Azrael stopped for a moment, then shrugged. "Not sure....let's just hope that doesn't happen."
Finally, he'd had it. Sitting in his black leather chair, donned in a simple white shirt and blue jeans, he put his elbows on the table and buried his face in his hands.
